Capital Ceremonies has been owned and operated by Celebrant, A.C. Warden since 2005. From time to time other Officiants join in as well. Whether it be a wedding, a vow renewal, a baby blessing, memorial service, funeral or house blessing, Capital Ceremonies can make your special day even more special and meaningful for you. We create and officiate custom-designed ceremonies. We work with people of all religions and cultures as well as those who want a non-religious or spiritual ceremony. I am A. C. Warden, a Certified Life-Cycle Celebrant® and ordained interfaith minister (UBM). I have been helping people highlight all their milestones since 2004. I love crafting ceremonies that are particularly relevant to our lives today.
In a way I have always been a Celebrant. When I was 7 years old and attending a Lutheran school, we were required to attend church every week. My family was not Lutheran and we didn’t always go to church. At those times, I led ceremonies in our living room. Later in life, before I was trained to be a Celebrant, my friends were always calling on me to lead ceremonies or worship services of all sorts.
In my other life I am a filmmaker. I have produced, directed, and edited documentary films and videos for over 30 years. I have made independent films and videos and worked for PBS, National Geographic TV, Discovery, and the Smithsonian. Both filmmaking and Celebrancy exercise my talents – researching, writing, producing, and public speaking.
